Accolades As Friends, Host Kogi HoS To A Reception In Celebration of His Bagging PhD.
… Gov. Ododo, Bello, Ogbo, Kogi AG, Ohinoyi showered him with Commendation.
The Kogi State Head of Service, Dr. Elijah Evinemi PhD has been commended for his sterling leadership qualities that has helped shaped the State Civil Service to one of service and and excellence.
Gov. Usman Ahmed Ododo, made the disclosure at a reception organized his honour by Committee of Friends at a reception held in his honour for bagging q PhD.
The various speakers in their separate remarks at the event described the Head of Service as a focus driven personality, said his determination to attain such wonderful height is an example to inspire civil servants for continued career progression and studies.
The Representative of former Gov Yahaya Bello, Dr. Umar Oricha, Director General Government House Administration, congratulated Dr. Evinemi, said he has repositioned the State civil service.
Also speaking, the Deputy Governor, Comr. Joel Oyibo Salifu, represented by Hilary Ojoma, urged civil servants to remain committed to ensuring that the service remains the platform to implement Government policies and programs.
The Chairman of the occasion, Prof. Salisu Usman Ogbo, Rector, Kogi State Polytechnic Lokoja, described the State Head of Service as Detribalized, hard working and innovative, said he has truly shown that where there is a will , there will always be a way.
Similarly, the Chairperson at the Occasion, Hajia Habibat Onumoko Tijani, the State Accountant General, lauded the accomplishments of the Head of Service, urged him to lay a foundation that will stand the test of time for the service amongst others in the country.
The Ohinoyi of Ebiraland, Dr Tijani Ahmed Anaje, described the Head of Service as a worthy Ambassador, urged him to keep the banner of Excellence he is known for flying.
In his remarks, the celebrant, Dr. Evinemi renewed his commitment to work for the growth and development of Kogi state.
He thanked the organizers for the reception said. “Today, I also want to thank everyone for this great honour. The Almighty God who has enabled you to honour me in this way will honour you too. God will bless you and the name of the Lord will be glorified in your homes and everywhere you go,” Dr. Evinemi said.
“I thank Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for appointing me as Head of Service in the civil service of Kogi state. His encouragement through the years and through the times has spured me to greater service delivery. His Excellency, Former Gov Yahaya Bello has proven to be a true leader indeed”, he said.
Dr. Evinemi also thanked Governor, Usman Ahmed Ododo, acknowledged his support that has made the State service an example.
In his welcome speech, the Chairman Organising Committee, Comrade Adeiza MomohJimoh said the reception is in our true tradition of recognising the elevation in the career of the Head of Service.
”He explained that Dr. Evinemi’s leadership is undoubtedly guided by his core values of diligence, integrity, and commitment to excellence. We are confident that his vision, expertise, and passion for public service will propel our state’s civil service to unprecedented heights. We are already seeing signs for bumper harvests for Kogi state civil service”, he noted.
Comrade MomohJimoh described the head of service as paragon of excellence, saying Dr. Evinemi’s journey is a testament to the power of dedication, perseverance and hardword.
He added that Dr. Evinemi started his education from a humble beginning, and joined the state civil service with secondary school certificate, and rose through the ranks, earning a first degree, master’s degree, and now PhD, noting that his unwavering commitment to self-improvement and academic excellence is an inspiration to all his friends and associates.
The present Head of Service in Kogi state, Dr. Elijah Adeiza Evinemi was born into the family of the late Deputy Vicar General, Michael Ozomata Evinemi and Mrs Leah OnoZare Evinemi, in Obeiba, Ihima, Okehi Local Government Area of Kogi state, Nigeria. He is married to Mrs Phoebe Oiza Elijah and a proud parent to two children; Triumph Onimisi Elijah and Raphael Omeiza Elijah.
