FAIN REITERATE COMMITMENTS TOWARDS PRESIDENT TINUBU’S FOOD SECURITY PROGRAM.

The farmers Aggregators Initiative of Nigeria(FAIN), has reiterated it determination and unwavering Commitments to support the food Security Programs of the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu led Government.
The founder and Executive Director of the Organization, Mr Cornelius Eneojo Agenyi, disclosed this to the media at the Organization’s Board of trustees meeting held in Abuja, Thursday May 15th,2025.
According to him, the farmers Aggregators Initiative of Nigeria (FAIN), is a Non-governmental organization whose core mandate amongst other is, “mainstreaming Genda in the Nation’s Agricultural sector for women and youth Empowerments, and also Developing road map in understanding of Genda policy on Agriculture and export trade in line with the Sustainable Development Goals- SDGs.
According to the Executive Director, mainstreaming Genda in the Nation’s Agricultural Sector was key towards Food security, Women and Youths Empowerment, job Creation and Economic diversification.
He added that considering the role women plays in managing homes and families, Women Could Contribute a whole lot in the Nation’s Agricultural sector if encouraged and Carried along in the Sector’s Scheme of things.
” Governments must be ready to involve the Women and Youths in the Country’s Agricultural Policy, the Women forms a sizeable parts of the Country’s population,so, should be part of the Policy making body in the Sector”.
The Organization also posited that, some Cultural and religious barriers that affects Women active participation in the Nation’s Agricultural Sector should be discouraged by engaging them in the decision making process in all Agricultural related issues.
” Some Cultures forbids the woman from owning a piece of land, Some religious beliefs doesn’t allow the Women to independently venture in to farming, so, all these are barriers that should be addressed if the Government wants it food security program to come to fruition “.
The Executive Director further Called on the federal and State Government to Support and rally the farmers Aggregators Initiative of Nigeria ,initiative for a robust Agricultural Sector, where food Security, economic diversification Can be achieve and Sustained.
