RESOLUTION OF APC LEADERSHIP IN LOKOJA LOCAL GOVERNMENT AREA AT THE END OF A LEADERSHIP MEETING OF 21ST APRIL, 2025

Stakeholders of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC in Lokoja Local Government Area, met on Monday, 21st April, 2025 at the residence of the party’s leader in Lokoja/Kogi Kotonkarfe Federal Constituency, His Excellency, Alhaji Suleiman Baba-Ali. The following were the resolutions at the end of the meeting;
1. The essence of the meeting was for the purpose of accountability which is the bedrock of democracy. The elected representatives of the party are doing well and have not disappointed the party and their supporters since their election.
2. There is the need to carry women and youths along in the scheme of things more than the current pace in appointment. There is therefore the need to give the demographic more opportunities at Local Government and Ward levels.
3. A vote of confidence was overwhelmingly passed on all elected office holders under the party; including the Executive Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, the Senator representing Kogi West at the National Assembly, Senator Sunday Steve Karimi; the member representing Lokoja/Kogi Kotonkarfe Federal Constituency, Hon Danladi Suleiman Aguye; the Speaker of Kogi State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Aliyu Umar Yusuf; the member representing Lokoja I State Constituency, Hon Bin-Ebaiya Shehu Tijani and the Executive Chairman of Lokoja Local Government, Comrade Abdullahi Adamu.
4. The youths of Lokoja Local Government need to come together and be united for the development of the area. It is only in a united front that they can bring the needed progress for the area because Lokoja is strategic to Kogi’s development.
5. Because the stakeholders and the people of Lokoja Local Government are comfortable with the leadership style of the Governor of the State, they would continue to rally round his administration and support him and the APC in all subsequent elections.
6. To a large extent, the political future of Lokoja Local Government is paramount to the stakeholders and as such, throw their weight behind Senator Sunday Steve Karimi and his leadership style at the National Assembly, so far.
Signed;
– Alhaji Suleiman Baba-Ali
APC Leader, Lokoja/Kogi Kotonkarfe Federal Constituency
– Hon Maikudi Bature
APC Chairman, Lokoja Local Government Area
– Hon Musa Mahmud
