
Easter: Kogi NUP Chair, Engr. Ohida Implore Christians To Emulate Christ’s Virtues Beyond Easter.

As Christians in kogi State join their counterparts around the globe to commemorate this year’s Easter festival, Kogi State Chairman of Nigeria Union of Pensioners [NUP], Engr. Clement Ohida has congratulated the State Executive Governor, Alh Usman Ahmed Ododo, Senior Citizens in the State, Christians and the generality of people on the suspicious occasion which mark the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
In a message of felicitation which was made available to newsman in Lokoja, Engr. Ohida opined that the trial, Crucifixion, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ from the grave rekindled hope, life, assurances and joy to mankind.
He explained that the season was a beacon of hope to the citizens that the current spate of uncertainty and other challenges facing Pensioners is surmountable.
While he expressed confidence that the Union will in the present administration of Gov Usman Ahmed Ododo overcome some of it challenges, praised the Governor for making the welfare of workers and Pensioners a priority.
The NUP State Chairman therefore urged Christians to emulate the virtues of love, forgiveness, sacrifice, good neighborhood as exemplified by the life of Jesus Christ to take the center stage of their operations.
The State chairman used the occasion to admonish those
saddled with the responsibility of leadership at all levels to embark on viable policies and programmes that will reduce the untold hardship being experience by citizens, particularly the Senior Citizens and Pensioners.
Engr. Clement Ohida wished the State Governor Alh Ododo Ahmed Usman, Senior Citizens, Christians, the entire citizens a happy Easter celebration.
