Easter: Engr. Bashiru Gegu Charge Christians To Emulate Jesus Christ

As the world celebrates Easter, the Kogi State Commissioner For Solid Minerals and Natural Resources Engr Bashiru Gegu has charged Christians in Nigeria to emulate Jesus Christ by sacrificing their interest to make life better.
Engr. Bashiru in his message thanked God for the gift of lives to witness this year’s Easter, congratulated Christians, Gov. Usman Ododo and Former Gov Yahaya Bello.
Justifying the importance of Easter in the history of mankind, Engr. Bashiru said “Easter is celebrated to commemorate the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ sacrificed his life out of love for everyone and while suffering for the sins of humanity”.
He charged Christians to cultivate the habit of loving not only people of their faith but those of other religion so that the reward for being true believers in the actions and words of Jesus Christ will be theirs on the day of accountability.
The Commissioner further advised them to use the festive period to pray for oneness, growth, and development of our great country, Nigeria and Kogi State in particular.
Engr. Bashiru rejoiced with Christians in Kogi State as a whole on the occasion of this year’s Easter while he prayed that they shall celebrate numerous Easter celebrations on the earth surface.
