PAAU Stadium Hosts 3 Senior Matches Tomorrow 16th April, 2025.
… Nasarawa United vs Bayelsa United, Plateau United vs Osun United,
Confluence Queens Vs Abia Queens.
The Prince Abubakar Audu University Anyigba Stadium will tomorrow host three top flight matches.
The games are Nasarawa United vs Bayelsa United – 10am.
Plateau United vs Osun United – 1pm.
Confluence Queens Vs Abia Queens- 4.00pm.
Recall that the NFF approved the PAAU stadium for matches for the 2025 President Federation Cup Round of 32 Men’s football competition.
The University stadium got the nod after meeting the standard for stadium amongst stadium in Kogi State by the NFF to host what many have been describing as matches that have been exciting.
The stadium had in the earlier rounds hosted Nasarawa Utd Vs Ijele FC, Mighty Jets Feeders Vs Akwa Utd,
Inter Lagos FC Vs Jr Danbaram FC as well as Sunshine Stars FC Vs Plateau Utd in the ongoing Federation Cup.
The NFF found the Prince Abubakar Audu University’s main football field, the only football pitch in Kogi State with FIFA-standard synthetic grass, a world-class sporting facility, as having the ability to attract different levels of football activities.
The PAAU Stadium has also recently played host to the Nigerian Women Football League (NWDL) 2024/2025 season, among other top flight football matches.
This development has not only enhance the University’s sports infrastructure but has also rekindled a strong passion for football among students and staff alike.
With its new synthetic grass facilities, the stadium is position to welcome other top-tier teams as they compete for a place in the Nigerian Football Federation Cup.
The matches played at PAAU Stadium is part of the further recognition of the good works of the Vice Chancellor.
Most importantly, the FIFA standard football pitch, have received the commendation of players, coaches and spectators who have been highly appreciative of the FIFA football pitch in PAAU Anyigba.
The administration of the Vice Chancellor, PAAU, Prof. Marietu Tenuche has invested heavily in sports. This she has done by making sporting activities outside the regular school curriculum a priority.
The improved sporting facilities in the University, offers students the opportunities to explore interests, develop skills, and engage in diverse experiences.
The University has also produced great men and women who have made the country proud in sports within and outside the shores of the country.
