Kogi: Bashir Gegu Donates Millions of Naira to Advance Education in Gegu Beki

The Kogi State Commissioner For Solid Minerals and Natural Resources Engr Bashiru Gegu, has donated several million of Naira towards development of Education in Gegu Beki.
Speaking on Saturday,
as the Chief host at the launching ceremony of Mentor Comprehensive School Gegu Beki,
Chief Engr. Muhammed Abubakar Bashir Gegu, the Kogi state Commissioner for solid minerals and natural resources, emphasized the commitment of the All Progressives Congress (APC) led administration to educational development in the State.
He said under the pragmatic leadership of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, the administration has prioritized education, by investing in educational infrastructure, and implementing policies to improve the standard of education in the state.
According to the Kogi local government political leader, the State government has made significant strides in the education sector, doing justice to it by establishing several Universities with the primary objective of providing young Kogites and other Nigerians with access to quality education, which will equip them with the necessary skills and knowledge to compete favorably in the global market and become valuable assets to the society.
The Kogi State Commissioner for Solid Minerals, a prominent figure in the nation’s solid minerals sector, underscored the importance of education in national development.
He maintained that education is the foundation upon which a nation’s growth and prosperity are built, and that investing in this sector is essential for the nation’s advancement. In this vein, he urged high-net-worth Nigerians, regardless of their ethnic, religious, or political affiliations, to make significant investments in education, thereby contributing meaningfully to the nation’s development and progress.
Engr. Bashir Gegu, who had the privilege of serving as the Chief host at the launching ceremony of Mentor Comprehensive School Gegu Beki, took the opportunity to commend the school management for their tireless efforts in putting their best foot forward to inculcate moral values into the students, which is essential for their overall development.
