The former Deputy Governor of Kogi State, Elder Simon Achuba has condoled with Adaba’s family, the Ebira kingdom and Kogi State in general over the death of the former Deputy Governor of Kogi State, Patrick Adaba.
Achuba in a statement signed by his Chief Press secretary, Akor Sylvester, described Adaba’s death as a huge loss to Kogi state as a whole especially now that his wisdom is required.
He said Patrick Adaba played his own part in the efforts to develop the state, stating that he will be missed by his people and political colleagues.
The former Deputy Governor urged the family members and friends he left behind to weep no more but to emulate the good deeds of their son and friend, saying that he would be greatly missed.
Noting that death is a necessary end, the former Deputy Governor enjoined the children to always do what is right and just and continue to make peace anywhere they find themselves.
According to him, the deceased was a figure to identify with in nation building and in the pursuit for peaceful coexistence and unity.
As a former colleague, the former Deputy Governor said Patrick Adaba was dedicated to duty and made his mark during his tenure as number two citizen of the state.
He prayed God to grant his soul eternal rest, while stating that the deceased left a good legacy behind.
