Treasures Bakery Empowers 300 Widows, Marks 13th Year of Impacting Lives

….BEBM Exhibitions Celebrates Treasure Bakaries for Supporting the Less Privileged

The Management of Treasures Bakery, led by Dr. and Mrs. Femi Akande, has empowered over 300 widows with food, clothing, and cash to celebrate the Christmas season. This act of philanthropy marks the 13th year of the bakery’s commitment to impacting lives and giving back to the community.

The event, which took place at the Treasures Bakery premises in Lokoja, was attended by dignitaries from far and near, including the Secretary to the Kogi State Government, Dr. (Mrs.) Folashade Arike Ayoade, who represented the state government. In her remarks, Dr. Ayoade charged the widows to look unto God for comfort and strength, urging them to remain steadfast in their faith.

In his welcome address, the Managing Director/CEO of Treasures Bakery, Dr. Femi Akande, narrated how the vision to empower widows was birthed many years ago in Ilorin. He expressed his gratitude to God for His faithfulness over the years, enabling the bakery to touch the lives of many.

The event featured prayers by clergymen, who sought God’s blessings and protection for the management of Treasures Bakery, the widows, and the state. The highlight of the occasion was the presentation of gifts to the widows, which included food items, clothing, and cash.

The event was a testament to the bakery’s commitment to giving back to the community and making a positive impact on the lives of those in need. As the widows departed with smiles on their faces and hope in their hearts, it was clear that Treasures Bakery had once again demonstrated its dedication to spreading joy and kindness during the Christmas season
In his reaction to the event , the CEO/Managing Director of the BEBM Exhibitions, Hon Oladipo Makakese Bayode laud the annual assistance being rendered to the vulnurable by the duo of Dr. And Chief (Mrs.) Femi Akande. He contended that such gestures informed the recent award by the Exhibitions during the 2024 edition of the Kogi Built Environment and Building Materials Exhibitions from 10th to 12th December, 2024.
