HON. ABDULRAFIU YAKUBU BREAKING NEW GROUNDS
Nigeria National Volunteer Service is an NGO of the Federal Government saddled with the responsibilities of identifying individuals in our communities, especially the ones impacting lives and bridging gaps, building bridges of relationships not because he knows you as someone who can pay back, but because he discovered there is a need for him to intervene, this exceptional character is what NNVS is poised to expose to Nigerians.
Our group of volunteers ran into Hon Abdulrafiu Yakubu in Kogi State where God created him to impact the lives of the poorest of poor in rural communities. Intervening in critical areas such as drilling of boreholes, providing scholarships to the indigent, and also involved in giving hope, especially his uncommon Stewardship in the provision of palliatives to ameliorate the effects of hunger and economic quagmire in our current development in Nigeria.
In our quest to know more about this young man a rear gem and a philanthropist by calling, Hon Abdulrafiu Yakubu, we discovered he’s naturally created to impact lives because God Almighty has endowed him to give back voluntarily without looking back not as politicians do in our country today. What actually attracted us to him was his resilience and dexterity in human relationships, humility personified, fear of God and willingness to affect lives in respective of religion, ethnicity and sectionalism.
Hon. Abdulrafiu Yakubu is such a man created purposely to serve selflessly to occupy the gap created by government oversight, no wonder the residents of these communities call him a nick name ” Okuma” meaning “Government” because his vision is assisting his people in areas such as providing water, accessing rural roads, scholarships, and intervening in primary health care to the low and high in his community and beyond.
This uncommon Stewardship by Hon Abdulrafiu Yakubu is amazing, our team wanted knowing more what inspired him to be exceptionally impacting lives in his chosen areas, the poorest of the poor, it was then he opened up to us simply as the fear of God and his love to bridge the gaps between him and government loopholes because of the love of his party, the all progressive congress (APC), especially to support Alh Ahmed Usman Ododo the man who has demonstrated servitude as a servant leader per excellence, knowing that government can not be everywhere at all times.
The man who has distinguished himself in terms of character and competence to touching lives in a very selfless manner should be exposed for others to learn more from his examplary character as a Volunteer and a Philanthropist by excellence .
Nigeria National Volunteer Service domiciled in the office of the Secretary to kogi State government and in the (OSGF), is proud of you and very soon we shall identify you with an award of “UNCOMMON STEWARDSHIP AWARD TO HUMANITY ” just to spur you to do more for your people, posterity will remember you.
