
Youth Empowerment: Kogi CoS Empowers 18 Agassa/Ahache/Upogoro Community

In a display of his commitment to Youths Development, the Chief of Staff to Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Ali Bello (Atinpo), has launched a Youth Empowerment Initiative.
The Chief of Staff empowered 18 youths to the tune of N10 million under his YOUTH EMPOWERMENT INITIATIVE.
The empowerment which is in Support to Agassa/Ahache/Upogoro Community Youths aims at providing financial support to deserving young individuals towards enhancing their economic prospects and to further encourage community growth.
The inaugural phase of the empowerment, the Chief of Staff disclosed symbolizes “charity begins at home” adage, said it will empower eighteen (18) outstanding Agassa/Ahache/Upogoro youths/who are entrepreneurs.
Those empowered include tailors, farmers, traders, motorcyclists, taxi drivers, as the initial sole beneficiaries of the maiden empowerment phase.
The names of the first phase beneficiaries include:
1. Momohjimoh AbdulWahab – ₦970,000
2. Shaibu Ashraf – ₦700,000
3. Shaibu Hassan – ₦500,000
4. Salihu Abdulahi – ₦600,000
5. Bello Lukman – ₦500,000
6. Ahmed Abdulhakeem – ₦500,000
7. Umar Mustapha – ₦500,000
8. Ogambo Mateen – ₦500,000
9. Momoh Jibril – ₦500,000
10. Yakubu Majeed – ₦500,000
11. Yusuf Abdullahi Onimisi – ₦500,000
12. Musa Hassan Omeiza- ₦500,000
13. SHEIDU AbdulRahman – ₦500,000
14. Nasiru Yusuf – ₦500,000
15. Salam Yekini O. – ₦500,000
16. John Sunday Emmanuel – ₦500,000
17. Sanni Ibrahim – ₦500,000
18. Umar Ridiwon – ₦500,000
The Chief of Staff explained that the empowerment initiative will have a positive impact on the beneficiaries, as it will enable them to pursue entrepreneurial ventures or vocational training.
The Chief of Staff appreciated Gov. Usman Ahmed Ododo for the opportunity given to him to serve.
He also encouraged the beneficiaries to make judicious use of the empowerment, pointing out that he eagerly looks forward to witnessing the positive changes it will bring into their lives and communities.
He also reiterated the commitment of the State Government and the Governor to further empowering more youths in ensuring that they have access to needed resources that will make them self reliant.

Reacting to the empowerment, Yussuff B MOHAMMED (Yussuff Bonanza) hailed and commended Alh Ali Bello for the empowerment initiative described it as first of its kind, urged the Alhaji Ali Bello to equally reach out to other places in Kogi State, pointing out that it is a right step in the right direction.
