Kogi State Council of the NUJ Congratulates Gov. Ahmed Ododo on Supreme Court Verdict affirming his landslide victory at the November Gubernatorial election.

The Union in a statement signed by the Council Chairman, Alhaji Seidu Ademu Haruna and Secretary, Comrade Olusegun Ayindero-Oyenibi said the victory is a testament to the overall mandate the people of the State overwhelmingly gave to Governor Ododo at the poll.

According to the statement, with the legal tussle put to rest, the Governor will be able to do more for the development of the State and be focused on delivering more dividends of democracy to the people.

It also reassured Governor Ododo of the commitment of NUJ in partnership with the State Government to project his laudable achievements to the outside world.

While calling on the Governor to continue to give priority attention to working journalists in Kogi State prayed for more wisdom for him to take the State to the next level of development.

NUJ also congratulated the Deputy Governor, Elder Comrade Joel Oyibo Salifu, members of the State Executive Council and all political appointees on the resounding victory.
