Those who are abreast with the ugly past of Kogi State’s political game will undoubtedly incline to subscribe to the untinted submission that Governor Yahaya Bello has sanitized and ended such an ugly past in the State.
Hitherto in Kogi State before the emergence of Governor Yahaya Bello, going into politics is like embarking on a mission of no return. We had situations where the opposition won’t dare to enter the state for campaign or elections and some were abducted without a trace and forever gone. The electioneering in those days was like a scene of crime and a theater of terror.
Those who are now throwing dirt against the Governor were once his admirers when they got their interests met and enjoyed the paraphernalia of politics unrestrained. They now behave like a mother hen who has had her filled with grains and disdained others for attempting to partake.
We can unequivocally attest to the fact that the attempt to paint the Governor black is like giving a dog a bad name in order to hang it.
The Governor remains steadfast in keeping the people of Kogi State safe irrespective of political divides, inclinations, or ethnic differences.
