The inauguration of Sen. Engr. Abubakar Ohere yesterday in the 10th Senate of the National Assembly has been described as overwhelming with the convergence of the Ebira nation to felicitate with the Distinguished Senator.
The A Class Event Centre was filled to the brim as it was obvious that never in history have the people ever became united by the emergence of a Senator.
The Central Senatorial District have had several Senators representing them but for Sen. Ohere his emergence was with a difference.
Yesterday’s inauguration was highly overwhelming by the number of Ebira dignitaries and Kogi central people who troupe in their numbers to celebrate the new Senator, this according to Solace Omolaiye is an indication of the massive love Senator Abubakar Ohere has gathered by his goodwill over time.
The program which was attended by the mighty, including the Chief of Staff to Gov. Yahaya Bello, Pharm. Muhammad Jamiu Asuku, the APC Governorship flagbearer, Alhaji Usman Ahmed Ododo, the Secretary to the State Government, Dr. Folashade Ayoade Arike amongst others was so overwhelming.
According to Solace Omolaiye, the jubilation and excitement that trailed the occasion and made him to forget to drink water all through the day not to talk of food.
According to Solace Omolaiye Senator Abubakar Ohere the convergence of the Ebira nation at the Inauguration showed that Sen. Ohere has started on a good note.
The Senator didn’t mince word when he Promised adequate representation, Human Capital Development As He Resumes the Senate Chamber Officially.
The Senator promised to deliver adequate representation and to ensure human development in the state for rapid development.
According to the Senator “The essence of government is to bring positive development to the people and to ensure human development. I have repeatedly stated this on different occasions and by the grace of God this is how we are going to be carrying out our duties to the people.
“l will not forget anybody and I will not forget you in view of the role you have all played. What you have all done to ensure my success was so glaring and nobody can dispute it.
“Some of you left your businesses and jobs then came back home for the election, some of you didn’t go back until when the announcement was concluded.”
I appreciate all the individuals, support groups and associations for your massive support.
I urged you all not to hesitate to come forward with useful advice and suggestions that would move us forward.
By the grace of God, I pledge to run an all-inclusive purposeful leadership, I also appealed for support from all and sundry to enable me bring the desired and needed development to Kogi Central.
For Solace Omolaiye, he prayed Allah to guide the Senator, help him, grant him wisdom to choose and walk the path that will make his mark highly reverred in the sand of time.
From all indication, he prayed that like Sen. Musa Kwankwanso who over time has prioritize human development than pocket and stomach infrastructures, prayed that may his dispensation bring upliftment to Kogi central youths.
He concluded by praying for Allah to Grant Senator Ohere good health and peace of mind to be able to deliver on his mandate in representing the people of Kogi Central Senatorial District in the National Assembly.
