Kogi Education Commissioner, Commissioner for Health, MD/CEO KEDA, others attends North-Central Human Capital Development Regional Conference.

 

Kogi State Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Hon. Wemi Jones, FCIB and his counterpart in the Ministry of Health, Dr. Zakari Usman, the Managing Director/CEO of Kogi Enterprise Development Agency(KEDA), Hajiya Rakiya Onaivo Sanni and other stakeholders are attending the North-Central Human Capital Development Regional Conference Holden at Lafia, Nasarawa State.

The Nigeria Human
Capital Development program was
launched in 2018 by the National Economic Council in recognition
of the role human capital development plays in addressing poverty
and other socio-economic issues, while ensuring participatory and
sustainable economic growth.

The programme is aimed at increasing
human capital
investments
towards improving Nigeria’s
development.

It is also
focusing on
thematic areas (Health and Nutrition, Education and Labour
Force Participation) and 6 critical outcome areas.

The areas are U-5 Stunting,
U-5 Mortality, Adult Mortality, Expected years of Schooling,
Quality of learning, and Labour Force Participation rate.
