Judging from the feelers emanating from Kogi State political firmament, the Campaign Organization for Hon. Alhaji Ahmed Ododo Usman (OAU) All Progressive Congress (APC) if constituted, would have a smooth and easy ride when the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) officially lifts ban on campaign activities.
Fancy Media Team made this statement known to public on 27th April, 2023 for two remarkable reasons.
First, that Governor Yahaya Bello from whom he will take the mantle of leadership, has not spared any opportunity to showcase to the whole world, his ingenuity imbued in excellent administrative acumen. This obviously has led to Kogi State recording first positions in objective assessment by reputable organisations as elements of transparency, accountability and prudence were raised to a new pedestal in the state. So, for the embryonic Hon Ahmed Usman Ododo Campaign Organization, there are plethora of tactile achievements upon which campaign issues will be based as against deliberate comic grandstanding from any quarters.
Secondly, charisma, maturity and responsible ways of life which are some of the criteria for effective leadership recruitment process in saner climes that abhore official waywardness are not in short supply in the personality of Hon Ahmed Usman Ododo.
In less than a month of his emergence as APC flagbearer, Hon Ahmed Usman Ododo has not only showed enormous capacity and readiness for the task ahead of governing a multi-ethnic state like Kogi. His strategic reconciliatory/consultatory engagements with stakeholders across party lines exemplified him as a true unifier. He has become a household name and the most mentioned candidate in discussion surrounding 2023 Kogi State Governorship election.
Like the flower which is well-watered by a gardener for bountiful yield, Hon Ahmed Usman Ododo has not left anyone in doubt that the tutelage he received under the New Direction Administration in the past seven years will blossom to more multi-sectoral achievements in the coming administration. Indeed, It is a new dawn in Kogi State politics.
Hon. Ododo’s emergence is not and can never be regarded as stealth expression of religious, tribal or sectional agenda because politics of segregation and isolation was annihilated by the New Direction Administration and would be given deserving final interment with the coming of Hon Ahmed Usman Ododo as the 7th Executive Governor of Kogi state.
