The Eid-el-Fitr celebration which crowns the days of the Ramadan Fasting season is of great importance in Islam as fasting is one of the five (5) Pillars of Islam. The one month-long season of spiritual fasting exercise starts from dawn to dusk for Muslim faithful and the end of it calls for total celebration.
The Director General Government House Administration, Alh. Dr. Umar Oricha Shuaibu has congratulated and shown how joyful he is to the Muslim community round the globe for successfully participating and ending the Ramadan Fasting of this year.
Speaking from his house in Ateba, Agassa in Okene Local Government Area he said, “As Muslims who are true worshippers of Almighty Allah (SWT), the Ramadan Fasting period helps us to coil back to avail ourselves for total devotion which helps us to seek help from the divine.”
He added that, “Many people makes the great mistake of going back to their wrongdoings immediately after the completion of the Ramadan Fasting and this is not good in the sight of Allah (SWT). We are to know that the spiritual devotion we made our souls and bodies to pass through during the fasting is expected to energize us to do good just as one charges a battery for use. It is expected of us to live righteously before Allah having listened to series of Islamic teachings and lectures which is believed should aid us in relating peacefully with all men so that Allah’s favour and mercy will speak for us in all we do.”
Alh. Dr. Umar Oricha Shuaibu also congratulated and prayed for His Excellency, Gov. Yahaya Bello the Executive Governor of Kogi State. He said that, “I am always happy and grateful to Almighty Allah (SWT) who has shown Gov. Yahaya Bello much grace, favour and mercy right from cradle till this moment. I am also sure that Allah (SWT) will continue to be his shield and buckler in all he lay his hands on as he has become a perfect example of a man who Allah (SWT) has genuinely answered his prayers.”
Furthermore, the Director General Government House Administration, Alh. Dr. Umar Oricha Shuaibu congratulated and prayed for Alh. Ododo Ahmed Usman who won the Governorship ticket of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Kogi State. He prayed that Allah (SWT) who brought about his clinching the ticket during the revered period of the Ramadan Fasting will guide and guard him to become the next Governor of Kogi State after the successful tenure of His Excellency, Gov. Yahaya Bello.
Moving forward, “the Landlord” as Alh Dr. Umar Oricha Shuaibu is fondly called by his admirers admonished everyone to have total believe and faith in Almighty Allah (SWT) as He is the only One that is capable of changing every situations that may be giving us sleepless nights and reasons to cry. He said, “We mortals should always look up to the heavens where Allah (SWT) resides and overseeing our affairs as He knows when to bring succour to our pitiable conditions. We have fasted, heard His words and prayed to Him and the rest is for us to expect answers from Almighty Allah (SWT) which will surely come to pass if we remain within His will.”
Alh. Dr. Umar Oricha Shuaibu also prayed for sound health, wealth and harmony for all those who visited him to celebrate the Id-el-Fitr at his Ateba home in Agassa.
