The Speaker of Kogi State House of Assembly and Candidate of the All Progressives Congress in the yet to be concluded National Assembly in Ijumu/ Kabba-Bunu Federal Constituency, Rt. Hon. (Prince) Olushola Matthew Kolawole has felicitated with Christians across the globe particularly in Kabba/Bunu and Kogi State in general on the celebration of the end of this year’s Easter lent season to commemorate the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ which signified everlasting hope and freedom for the believers.
The Speaker disclosed this in a press statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Olugbemi Femi and made available to newsmen in Lokoja.
He said the season afford all believers to live a life of sacrifice like Our Lord Jesus Christ who sacrificed himself for the survival of the entire world, noted that as Christians the season should be used to return to God and pray for the country as it is moving towards another administration of renewed hope of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, which will give birth to a new dawn for the nation.
Kolawole said this year’s celebration is unique in the sense that it is a transition period for the nation that requires every citizen to play their parts of contributing to the peace and development of Nigeria.
He called on all Nigerians irrespective of their faith to continue to pray for the leadership in the country and that of Kogi State ably led by Governor Yahaya Bello, stressing that the state has witnessed tremendous growth under the new direction administration in the last seven years.
