Nigerians have been asked to always approach the proper channel of the court on matters of election disputes and dissatisfaction rather than protest.
This advise is coming in lieu of the aftermath of the series of dissatisfactions and calls for the cancellation of the just concluded general elections in the country.
Giving the advice while fielding questions with some journalists recently during the issuance of certificate of returns to the newly elected governor of Niger State and his Deputy, Hon. Umar Bago and Yakubu Garba respectively alongside members-elect of the state House of Assembly, is no other person than the House speaker, Rt. Hon. Abdullahi Bawa Wuse.
What some politicians perceive as kangaroo elections can be resolved amicably if the normal channel is approached, the effervescent politician cum the state House of Assembly Speaker reiterated.
To him, those who are nursing grudges from the outcome of the just concluded general elections should rather approach the court or tribunal inorder to ventilate their grievances.
This according to him would save the country from unnecessary political chaos and a possible waste of human and material resources.
“If you have grudges, you should go to court or tribunal and ventilate your grudges instead of taking it to the streets”, he quipped, adding that it’s a more better way to addressing the matter.
On the expectations of Nigerlites from the incoming administration of Hon. Bago as the new executive governor of the state, he rather noted that even though it’s true that the people’s expectations in the state are high, but that he believes that, the incoming governor, Hon. Bago has the capacity to deliver.
