A non-governmental organization and APC support group, Kogi Project Initiative For Development, K-PIND Ajaokuta LGA Chapter has totally condemned the suspension of the member representing Ajaokuta Constituency in the Kogi State House of Assembly and former Majority Leader, Rt.Hon. Bello Hassan Abdullahi Balogun.

The group in a press statement issued in Lokoja signed by its Publicity Secretary, Shamsudeen Lukman described the action of the State House of Assembly as a mocrey of democratic norms and abysmal failure of a supposed revered legislative institution.
According to the group, the allegations of terrorism and anti-party activities levelled against the lawmaker were not only unfounded but a cheap political blackmail, a politically motivated action and calculated attempt to give dog a bad name in order to hang it.
The group expressed worry over the way and manner government institutions and political parties takes decisions on party stakeholders on mere allegations without subjecting such allegations to due process that will not only guarantee fair hearing but to know the truth or otherwise of such allegations.
The group described Rt. Hon. Bello Hassan Abdullahi Balogun as the longest serving Majority Leader in the history of Kogi State legislation, an experienced lawmaker of local, national and international repute with clear records of loyalty, patriotism, respect for constituted authority that has made him contribute meaningfully to the New Direction administration of Kogi State Governor Alh.Yahaya Bello.
From all sense of judgement therefore, this outstanding lawmaker deserves a path on the back and not a stab.
The group therefore appealled to the State Governor Alh. Yahaya Bello and the APC to withdraw the allegations levelled against the lawmaker stressing that they were not only misleading, misinforming but absolute fabrication of lies against the personality of Rt. Hon. Bello Hassan Abdullahi Balogun.
As a support group in the LGA, we state emphatically without any iota of doubt that Rt. Honi Bello Hassan Abdullahi Balogun was at home for all the elections where he canvassed for votes for all the APC candidates. He spent money on the party supporters. He voted for the party, delivered his polling Unit and his Ward Badoko. These are verifiable facts. Indeed, if we cannot say thank you for his positive contributions to the party, then let the sleeping dog lies.
The group therefore urged political actors in the state and Ajaokuta LGA in particular to be weary of actions capable of jeopardizing the strength and growth of the party even after elections have been contested and won.
