The Senatorial Candidate of The All Progressive Congress for Kogi Central District, Alh. Engr Abubakar Sadiku Ohere, FNSE jubilantly celebrated with the Tijaniyya Muslims during the annual International Moulud of an Islamic erudite scholar, Sheikh Ibrahim Niasse in Okene, Kogi State.
Engr. Ohere who graced the occasion in the company of his superlative Boss, The Executive Governor of Kogi State, Alh Yahaya Bello, gave resounding credence to the auspicious occasion, noting the enormous blessings and achievements recorded by the host community, Ebiraland since its inception. He prayed for the soul of our Mama, the only Nigerian wife of Sheikh Ibrahim Niasse, Sayyida Bilkis Niasse for bringing forth to our land this inestimable event.
The Senatorial hopeful, speaking during the Moulud Parade, also delightfully appreciated her children and all the organizing Committees for keeping up the tempo in sustaining this all important programme which has not only brought to bear, the enduring peace and progress to our land but also improved the local economy of the state through its accompanying International trade fair, to the benefit of our people. He prayed that May all the encompassing enormous blessings permeate through every homes in Ebira Land, Kogi State and Nigeria at large.
The Daughter of Sayyida Bilkis Niasse, Her Eminence, Sayyida Rahmatullah Ibrahim Niasse in her address appreciated Engr Ohere for deeming it fit to grace the occasion despite his tight schedule, noting that Engr Abubakar Ohere is a proud member of the fold and a strong pillar in the Niasse family. “Engr Ohere is our own, he will always earn our maximum support in his bid to become the next Senator representing the good people of Kogi Central Senatorial district.” She prayed that may Allah never forsake their open and secret prayers for him.
The Sheikh of Ebiraland, Sheikh Ahmad Rufai Shuaib who had earlier opened the floor with prayers, also spoke in same vein and urged all Muslims across the state to support the good projects of Governor Yahaya Bello administration. He said, the choice of Engr Ohere as the APC flagbearer ahead of the Senatorial election is one of the best shot of the ever celebrated Governor. He prayed for the peace and progress of our land and Nigeria in general.
