In continuation of his consultation ahead of the 2023 Senatorial Election,the leading Candidate of the Kogi Central Senatorial race, Engr. Abubakar Sadiku Ohere of the All Progressives Congress APC threw the Ancient City of Ihima into a frenzy earlier in the week in his maiden visit to ihima since his seamless victory at the senatorial primaries.
Receiving the Kogi Central Senatorial hopeful were Ihima men and women of good will who trooped out in their numbers to receive the most supported and endorsed senatorial candidate principally because of his leadership style, philanthropic nature and great achievements in the new direction government of his Excellency Alh Yahaya Adoza Bello.
The joyous supporters who could not hide their excitement engaged the senatorial hopeful in a road walk from Obeiba to Oboroke where he was received by the Chairman Ohere Political Vanguard Prof Solomon Avidime at the family residence and later attended the *OKEHI APC REAWAKENING TEAM* weekly solidarity meeting for Engr. Ohere and the other Party Candidates ahead of the Feb. 25th National Assembly Elections.
Accompanying Engr Ohere to Ihima on this visit was the DG campaign Kogi central Alh Abubakar Adagu, Chairmen of Okene, Ajaokuta and Ogori mangogo LGAs and host of other party stalwart.
Addressing the mammoth crowd at Oboroke, Engr Ohere eulogies the people of Ihima for their unflinching love and a resounding welcome given to him
He assured the teaming supporters that he will do more for the people when he become the senator Kogi cebtral. In his words ‘because I speak your language, we understand each other better and I can feel your pains also, I will give you better and qualitative representation at the red chambers. Various empowerment will be done in areas of education, health and will support diverse vocations’. He assured the people that he can be trusted. Stressing the new direction government was very successful one with visible infrastructural development and a complete departure from the old order of the opposition that left at its trail death and destruction across Ebira land
Engr Ohere in his usual magnanimity donated a Siena Bus to Okehi Reawakening Team and 1500 pieces of Wrappers for women.
Candidates of the APC for the house of representatives Hon Idris Ozi Shuaibu and the state House of assembly Hon Zax Otokiti were among dignitaries who received Engr Ohere at the meeting.
Hon Ozi Shuaibu assured the senator in waiting that the election in 2023 is by far different from that of 2019 election, as the APC will get massive vote from Ihima and Okehi LGA
