A Group of Egbe Elites have launched a canvassing team for the All Progressives Congress Candidates in Yagba West LGA in solidarity with Hon Sunday Karimi.
About 200 canversers, spread across the polling units in Yagba West West LGA were selected and Inaugurated at the launch which held at Egbe.
Tagged operation; ” Mandate Sweep it clean”, is expected to work between now and the end of the General Election in March 2023.
The Egbe Elites Group is to take care of the monthly bill of those engaged in the canversing, disclosed to the canversers that the are expected to woo voters to ensure a clean sweep in Yagba West LGA.
The group was also assigned with the mandate of working for the APC from top to bottom in all election.
The spokesman for the group, Mr Odebola Odeyemi, urged all the canversers to justify the confidence reposed on them, disclosed that Supervisors have also been engaged to monitor their activities and make changes when necessary.
Recalled that Alhajia Suleiman Baba Ali has also set up a similar group in Lokoja/ Kogi Federal Constituency to do the task of canversing for votes at the polling units.
The former Commissioner for Health and leader of Lokoja LGA APC has been responsible for the funding of the canversers since October in support of all the APC candidates in the forthcoming 2023 General election.
