… Geared Towards Inspiring, Mentoring Kogi Youths.
In keeping with her mandate of inspiring, mentoring and empowering youths in Kogi State, a Non Governmental Organization, Young Bold And Beautiful, today held an intersecondary schools debate geared towards encouraging teenagers and youths to express themselves.
With the theme of the debate; “Kogi Youths: The Future Of Kogi State ” drew participants from Army Day Secondary School, Government Science secondary school, Crowther Memorial Secondary School and GYB Model secondary school, Adankolo.
The secondary schools represented were given ten minutes to express themselves on the debate theme for ten minutes one after the other and the panel of judges made to assess them based on agreed criteria.
At the end of the day , Blessing Sulieman of Government science secondary school Lokoja, emerged the overall best from the debate while Ogbunike Blessing of Crowther Memorial college came second best with Onyeme Precious of GYB Model Secondary School emerging the 3rd best position.
Speaking with Newsmen, the Convener, Bala Mona Gbogbo praised the good showing made by the participating schools, promised to sustain the competition to other schools outside the State capital.
