The Peoples Democratic Party Flagbearer for Idah Federal Constituency, Hon. Uchola Ojogbane Omale has described the Judgment of the appeal court nullifying his candidature as a black market judgement, expressed confidence that the Supreme Court will right the wrongs.
Hon. Uchola explained in a statement made available to Journalists in Lokoja, said he remain the candidate of the PDP, pointing out that at no time was the name of John Ibrahim submitted to the Independent National Electoral Commission.
According to the PDP Flagbearer, there was a rerun election that produced him because of the noticed irregularities that was detected by the Appeal Panel constituted by the PDP National which he explained led to the cancellation of the first Primary.
Secondly, Hon. Uchola disclosed that he was at no time ever convicted by any court of law, described the misinformation making the rounds that he was convicted as fake news and a figment of the imagination of those behind the misinformation.
He disclosed that the petition alledging that he was convicted was written by John Ibrahim for him to disqualified during the party’s screening exercise, but disclosed that the petition failed flat on merit as it could not hold water as it was merely an allegation.
While pointing out that anybody can be alleged for any crime not committed as was done to him during the screening, said such allegations and the person alledged remain not guilty until proven otherwise, says his hands and records are clean as he has never been convicted by any court of competent jurisdiction.
The PDP Flagbearer for Idah Federal Constituency urged his supporters to disregard and discountenance the misinformation of perjury, described the claim as baseless and politics taken too far.
While pointing out that he has the people of Idah Federal Constituency at heart, maintained that they are dear to his heart, cautioned against aligning with a man who does not have the people at heart, but seeking only to fester selfish purposes.
The PDP Flagbearer says he is committed to the well-being and improvement in the people’s standard of living reason why he is aspiring to contribute to making quality laws in the lower Chambers of the National Assembly, cautioned the people against desperate politicians who are out to get power by all means, using all sinister motives that is anti party and anti people, says he trust in God that the Supreme Court will redress the issues by affirming the will of the people as freely given to him at the rerun primary’s.
