It is with great delight and sigh of relief that we receive the news of the release of the 23 remaining hostages of the Kaduna train attack held by terrorists.

Following months of clamour by well meaning Nigerians and the generality of the citizenry, the needful has finally been done. We hereby commend and celebrate the security forces under the leadership of Chief of Defense Staff General L E O Irabour.
We also sieze this opportunity to extol the fine qualities and gallantry of the Nigerian Army, celebrated all over the world which hitherto had been made mockery of by the ineptitude of our nations political office holders and leaders.
This squarely fits the narrative that an army of lions lead by a sheep will any day be defeated by a ragtag army of sheep.
At this point it will suffice to say this would not be the case of the Nigerian state under the administration of the Labour party with the the guidance and leadership of Mr Peter Gregory Obi and Yusuf Baba Datti. Records are clear that as an hallmark of his administration as a governor of Anambra state in 2012, Mr Obi understood what security of lives and property meant hence taking the lead in the fight against criminality by ensuring to the extent of supervising the demolishing of houses belonging to kidnap kingpins which were acquired with proceeds of the crime. As he is fond of saying go and verify.
Finally It is our sincere hope and prayer that an end would come to the loss of Nigerian lives due to the Laissez faire attitude of this administration to security which is cardinal in any responsible government.
