The State Coordinator of NEWMAP, Barr. Ladi Ahmed Jatto, and now ACRESAL has described the newly acquired office complex for Kogi Environmental Projects as the present administration’s determination to fight environmental degradation headlong.

was speaking on the impact the new office would have on fighting environmental challenges, said aside the motivation it offers to staff of the organization, the office complex would now warehouse all agencies working on environmental issues in the State, described the new complex as a one stop shop.
The Project Co-ordinator further added that the effort underscores Gov. Bello’s commitment to erosion control and tackling headlong other environmental issues.
While pointing out that as field officers who are usually in the field, the office complex would offer them the desired comfort whenever the staff return to write reports and to fashion out means to execute quality projects associated with Kogi State NEWMAP.
While pointing out that the office complex which remains a landmark in the state’s history, however adds that while it restates Gov. Bello’s commitment, added that it is not about the present administration, but one that would outlive the present administration, praised the present administration’s determination in fighting environmental degradation to a standstill.
Recall that in a bid to sustain the drive towards tackling environmental degradation in Kogi State, Governor Yahaya Bello acquired and remodeled a complex consisting of a duplex and extended attached Office rooms for the workforce of the Special Projects Team in order to enhance their performance and efficiency.
The remodeled office complex is amongst the few in Nigeria, designated by any State Government for environmental management projects.
According to the Governor who spoke through the Commissioner for Information and Communication, Hon. Kingsley Fanwo, restated his administration’s determination to deal with issues of environmental management in the state and improve the livelihood of the people as a duty that he takes seriously.
Bello said his administration will leave no stone unturned to ensure robust partnership with donor agencies and global partners to make the Kogi environment a better one.
He said the state is not oblivious of the fact that two of Africa’s biggest rivers converge in Lokoja, hence the impact on communities.
The architectural masterpiece is one of the best provided by any State Government for such a purpose.
Kogi NEWMAP has had a big impact in the Confluence State with interventions to save communities from the adverse effects of environmental degradation.
