Jama’atu Nasril Islam(JNI) Inaugurates Usungwe Central Mosque in Kogi.


 

In fulfillment of it quest to propagate Islam to every part of Kogi State, the State Chapter of JAMA’AT NASRIL ISLAM (JNI) in has commissioned yet another Ultramodern Mosque, in Usungwe Community, of Okehi Local Government area of the State On Sunday, the 3rd of July 2022.

 

 

 

The event brought together Islamic clerics and worshipers from all part of the central senatorial District of kogi state took place under the chairmanship of Alh. Mohammed Kabir Badamasuiy
and Prof. Marietu Tenuche, Vice Chancellor Prince Abubakar University, Anyigba.

 

The Usungwe Mosque was conceptualized and initiated by Saidat Hamdalatu a convert from Christianity to Islam.

The project got the funding, moral and spiritual support of the state chapter of Jamma’atu Nasril Islam.

Delivering his address at the inauguration ceremony of the Mosque, the State Chairman of JNI Amb. Usman Bello used the occasion to admonish Muslims in the state, especially those of central
Senatorial District to unite and emulate the characters of Prophet Muhammad in peace and unity building saying that the world have many things to gain in peace than otherwise.

The Chairman enjoined Muslims in Usungwe Community to cooperate with the Chief Imam and the divine celebrant of the occasion – Saida Hamdat Bello so that they can collectively achieve, Success, peace and Unity of purpose in the community.

While given a progress reports of the state chapter of JNI at the occasion, the State Secretary of the organization Alhaji Isah Adeboye disclosed that the project was envisioned by Sayida Hameedat Muhammad Bello Following her conversion to Islam.

Alhaji Adeboye added that for her to carry out her Islamic activities without a Mosque was going to be difficult task, said she approached the Grand Khalifa of Ebira Land, Sheikh Ahmed Rufai who actually mobilised funds for the commencement of the project.

The JNI State Secretary further disclosed that, Kogi State JNI took over the project when it discovered that there was difficulty in funding for the project execution.

He stated with delight that “we have been able to complete the project and it’s been commissioned today with Allah’s assistance”.

Other dignitaries who Grace the occasion include the president of the state customary courts of appeal, chairman of the state security trust funds and members of Islamic societies from Anyigba, Lokoja, Ijumu and other local government areas of the state.
