As the raining season sets in, farmers in Omala Local Government Area have received some agricultural interventions to help start up the season with ease.
During flagg off of the programme at Ibado-Akpacha, Omala LGC, the Executive Chairman of Omala Local Government Area, Hon. Chief (Alh) Ibrahim Yakubu Aboh urged the people to put the items to good use. He said, “we feel the plight of our people, as a result, we thought it wise to bring some level of soccur by making these items available for their use as the farming season begins”.
“This will go a long way to boost output thereby alleviating hunger and poverty. More of such interventions are on the way”, he said.
Beneficiaries hailed the gesture, saying it shows a sign of a leader who is sensitive to the need and concerns of his people and prayed GOD to bless the Executive Chairman and the land.
Items flagged off for distribution include fertilizer, cutlasses, rake, wheelbarrows, herbicides, spraying pumps, among others.
