Kogi-born politician, 2019 Governorship aspirant, philanthropist and business tycoon, Chief (Dr) Abubakar Ibrahim Idris, The Ochada Onu’Ife and Wazirin Jakadan Sokoto, on Friday, March 4, 2022; felicitated with His Royal Majesty, Mathew Alaji Opaluwa Oguche Akpa, on his installation as the new Attah of Igalaland.
Alhaji Abubakar Ibrahim used the opportunity to appeal to the new Attah to make uniting the Igalas wherever they are, his first priority. “Without unity there can be no development, hence, we must always factor the unity of Igalaland in our decision as a people.
“I urge His Royal Majesty, Chief Mathew Opaluwa, our new Attah, to please make uniting of Igala Kingdom, sons and daughters of Igalaland his first priority as he assumes office,” Dr Abubakar Ibrahim said.
Chief Ibrahim assured the Attah of his maximum co-operation towards the promotion and development of the Igala interest.
He wished the Attah long years on the throne, good health and prosperity. He prayed God to give the Attah the wisdom and ability to pilot the affairs of his subjects and the land to a fruitful development.
Chief Abubakar Ibrahim also in the congratulatory statement congratulated the Igala nation on a rancour-free selection process witnessed during the process of selecting the new Attah. The turn-out at the coronation was as well encouraging. “All these are signs of the dawn of a new day. They are signs that a more united Igalaland is already on course ,” Alhaji Abubakar Ibrahim further added.
