
The Kogi State Commissioner for Works and Housing, Engr. Abubakar Sadiku Ohere has expressed confidence that the progress the State has made in the development of infrastructure and utilities puts Gov. Yahaya Bello in a good stead to become the nation’s next President.
Engr. Abubakar Ohere gave the indication while fielding questions of the progress of Infrastructure Revolution in the State, disclosed that in all constituencies of the State, the present administration last year completed work on the 55km Anyigba – Ejule – Umomi – Ugwolawo – Ajaka – Idah road in the Eastern Senatorial District.
The Commissioner also explained that work on the Ganaja Flyover and Interchange, the Ankpa, Lokoja, Okene and Kabba Township roads, along with many other road and projects across all sectors in the 3 Senatorial zones are eloquent testimonies that last year was indeed a watershed year for physical and engineering development in Kogi State.
He pointed out that if juxtaposed with the resources accrued to other States, the Governor’s transparency and prudent management of scarce resources, make Gov. Bello scores him high, what is needed as the nation’s next President.
He maintained that 2023 is not a time for complacency for Nigerian’s, disclosed that if elected Gov. Yahaya Bello would end up as the best President Nigeria will ever have, described him as the kind of President Nigeria need.
Engr. Ohere said the ongoing projects in the State Capital of Lokoja, the monumental infrastructure development ongoing in the State is what the country needs of the next President, described Gov. Bello as the man who the cap fits.
Similarly, he added that Nigeria needs a leader who gives matching orders and ensure quality delivery of projects as the next president, said Gov. Yahaya Bello has given a marching orders to all contractors towards ensuring timely delivery of all ongoing projects.
The Commissioner commended Gov. Bello for the infrastructural revolution going on in the state assurred of timely delivery of the projects to the people.
Engr. Ohere said some of the strategic road projects within Lokoja will help decongest traffic in the State Capital which is one of the fastest growing cities in the world.
He further disclosed that his Ministry has put in place, a strategy that would bring about quick delivery of the projects and assured that the quality of works would not be compromised as the people of the State are used to the GYB standard.
The Commissioner described all the projects as GYB standard insisting that the people deserve the best as Government, we will never compromise quality he assured.
