Federal lawmaker representing Okene-Ogori/Magongo
federal constituency, Hon. Ahmed~Tijani Yusuf Damisa has
trained no fewer than 200 selected from his
constituency in modern fish farming.

The beneficial youths were trained in Emco Okengwe by a group of resourceful experts that specialise in
modern fish farming from Upper River Basin Development Authority in collaboration with Pure Diamond Consult Ltd.

The trainees were also presented with certificates of participation after the two-day training.

The Director-general Upper River Basin Development Authority, who was represented by Mr. Muhammad Abba Kura as supervisor, monitored the exercise, described it as the best
way to reduce unemployment, create job and be
self-reliant.

The Chairman House Committee on F.C.T and Ancillary Matters, Hon. Ahmed~Tijani Yusuf Damisa through his personal aide, Hon. Adams Ibrahim Kadoka urged the trainees to justify the resources invested in them by capitalising maximally on the opportunities in fish farming business.

Damisa said the gestures were in fulfilment of his
promise to roll out different training and
empowerment programmes for the youths in his
constituency.

“I can confidently assure that greater days are ahead for the people, especially the youths. But it is
important to impress it on the trainees that they
must justify the resources we have committed to
this training as well as the financial empowerment.

This is just the only way we can be encouraged to
do more for others”.

Speaking on behalf of the trainees, Olowola Taiye Bridget from Ogori/Magongo Local government
thanked Damisa and assured they would take maximum advantage of the empowerment.
