Sir,

Throughout the over fifty years of late Aliyu Obaje when he was Attah Igala,  we never and I repeat never had seen the kind of negative ordeals we had in the last late Michael Oboni  Rulership in the kingdom.

His coming at the time was the most celebrated in Igala history. Igalas were full of Hope and expectations believing the end of our ordeal in the kingdom has finally come. It was unfortunate we never knew our most unexpected horrowful moment was in the making. The indelible Mark of sorrow and horrowful rulership was implanted in the minds of the current generation of our kingdom.
This was what we got in return for much expectation of glad tidings. We thought, we had seen a role model that would lead us out of the valleys of shadow of death from the sharckles of despair and hate but we never knew it was an era of promoting hate and dislike amongst our kinsmen.

This was the first time in Igala history many comes to realized that Bribery of all proportions could be offered Attah to be made king by force or imposed on people against their wishes. Families were turned against each others , millions of naira and in many instances in dollars reign supreme in our most cherished palace of Attah at Idah. Ankpa kingdom was the most affected as we lost many during Akwu clashes were we lost many of our  people while Enjema Chieftaincy tussle ranges for a long time while in the end many camps has to gather millions of naira to worship the late Majesty.

From, fact available to us, our late Majesty was a great beneficiary of the 50 million dolled out to all first class Kings in the north for Jonathan presidency. Check the revelation by Tanko Yakkasai who made the payment at the time and who later published names of Kings that got the funds. Not to talk of having our Attah outside the palace almost on daily basis visiting politicians of no reputation in various part of the country in search of greener pastures an act that is uncommon on this revered and cherished throne.

We saw an Attah that turns himself into political Royal advisor (PRA) openly favouring a  political party against another party while the Attah palace was turned into an arena for holding political activities and not major Royal festivities or town hall meetings as it should be. This indeed  downgraded our God given throne of Attah.

We aren’t God to judge  humans but with our experience in that Attah regime , we made a wrong choice who knows it would turned the way it went. We thank God many jubilated at the end the same way we did when he came. Well..that is parables of  life may his soul rest on as he goes hunting.

Remember, our Dear new Attah whether the process culminating into your emergence was right or wrong isn’t the issue, it might take a grace of God for any man to reach the peak of leadership in life but it takes character for your sustainability. You must learn and learn fast from this mischievous past. I make bold to say here that our most recent past wasn’t an experience to remember in our history. It was indeed a horrowful experiences from the begining till the end and Allah knows best while that terrible ordeal was not allowed to last. The Igala ancestors have spoken loud and clear but only the wise ones would understand the  language of the gods of our land and our supreme Almighty God.

The event of the last few weeks has clearly shown how detribalised Governor Yahaya Bello is. His most recent proclamation of some traditional rulers was a clear indication that he was indeed a true definition of ethical leadership an act he must continue to uphold.

As incoming Attah, never derailed from truth. Remain steadfast in correcting many destructions your predecessor has effected in our kingdom. Heal the wounds implanted in the minds of people across kingdoms in Igala land. Stay clear from conventional politics. Never allow yourself to be destracted by politicians. Be scares always from public functions. Attah is not meant to spend 70% of his days outside the palace. Stay clear from all that demean the last Attah reign in the eyes of the public.

One of the things that makes people detest and hate their Kings is involvement in conventional politics as done by your predecessor.

You have a lot of cleansing to do for the liberation of our kingdom. There is no better time than now and no one else to do this than you. You must take responsibility for your ability now. May your rein becomes the basis of Igala unity, may the  Royal cap of your forefathers reign supreme on your head and may you  become a rallying point for Igala solidarity and growth. May our eyes never saw what we experienced  in most recent years. The reign of terror and agonies in our Igala nation. May you live long to correct all the anormalies across various communities in our kingdom Amen.
