
As the Secretary to the Local Government, (SLG) and Supervisory Councillors (SCs) for Omala Local Government Area take oath of office and oath of allegiance in Abejukolo to occupy their respective offices. The Executive Chairman of the local government, Hon. (Alh) Ibrahim Yakubu Aboh has charged his new appointees to be responsive and responsible, as he encouraged them to prioritise the interest of the masses above their personal interests.
He said, “the progress and development of our people remains superlative and pivotal. It is a privilege you are in this offices, not because you are the best. It is an opportunity to bring out your best in your newly sworn in offices. I have no doubt in your ability to deliver”.
“Let me use this occasion to commend the Executive Governor of Kogi State, H.E., Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello on his overwhelming electrification projects spread across the state, which Omala is a beneficiary, the already awarded Ankpa/Abejukolo road, both, when completed will add to the economic well being of our people. Also his giant stride in security of lives and properties and his recent health insurance scheme, among others. On our part, we shall strive to follow the good footprints of our dynamic Governor”.
“We will put his ambition of Nigeria project in 2023 in prayers and we are fully in support. Those who are not lucky today in terms of appointment should please be patient. It is turn by turn”, the council boss added.
Speaking on behalf of the SCs, Hon. Simeon Omale thanked the Executive Chairman for finding them worthy to serve under his leadership. They promised that they will deliver to the best of their ability in all sincerity and that their loyalty is total and whole.
The local government Vice-Chairman, Hon. Mrs Ele-Ojo Faruna, the local government APC party Chairman, Alhaji Danjuma Baba, family, friends and well wishers of the inductees witnessed and graced the event.
