Kogi Government Declares 13th November, 2020, As Deadline for Internal Examinations’ Registration

Kogi State Ministry of Education, Science and Technology (MOEST), has declared Friday 13th November, 2020, as the final deadline for the registrations of all Internal Examinations in the State.

The internal examinations include: the Common Entrance Examination (CCE), Basic Six/First School Leaving Certificate Examination (FSLCE) and the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) in the state.

The Permanent Secretary of the ministry, Pastor Emmanuel Idenyi, disclosed this in a press statement in Lokoja on Wednesday.

Idenyi also said that the uploading of all the registered candidates’ data, should be completed on or before 12 midnight of Friday 13th November, 2020 deadline.

He restated that the conduct of the common entrance examination has been scheduled to hold on Saturday 14th November, 2020, while the Basic Six/FSLCE would take place on Wednesday 18th November, 2020 respectively.

Idenyi noted that the date for the conduct of Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) would be announced in due course.

He stressed that there would be no consideration for candidates or schools who failed to meet up with the Friday 13th November, 2020 deadline for all the examinations’ registrations.

He, therefore, urged all eligible candidates for the examinations and relevant stakeholders to take note and prepare for it accordingly.

The permanent secretary added that following the global challenges of Covid-19 which led to the prolong closure of schools and flood disaster witnessed in the state, the MOEST urged all the officials involved in the conduct of the exams to put in extra efforts to ensure a smooth and credible conduct of the exercise.
