The group, Relax Tinubu Is Fixing Nigeria (RTIFN), has inaugurated its Edo State chapter as part of efforts to mobilise support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu ahead of the 2027 general election.

The group says it is extending its mobilisation campaign across the 36 states of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory to promote the policies and programmes of the Tinubu administration.

The Director-General of RTIFN, Ahmed Balla, stated this during the inauguration of the Edo State chapter, held as part of the group’s South-South rally, empowerment programme and town hall meeting aimed at engaging residents on the administration’s achievements.

Speaking after the inauguration, the Edo State Coordinator, Honourable Idiake Patrick Akhimien, said the state was prepared to mobilise support for President Tinubu’s re-election, citing what he described as people-oriented policies and reforms introduced by the current administration.

Similarly, the State Woman Leader, Honourable Idaomi, reaffirmed the group’s commitment to grassroots mobilisation, assuring that members would intensify efforts to secure support for the President ahead of the January 16, 2027 election.

The group also paid a courtesy visit to Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, where its Director-General commended the governor’s administration for ongoing development efforts across the state.

Ahmed Balla said the group was embarking on a South-South mobilisation campaign, with plans to extend its engagements to other regions, including the North-Central, where a similar programme is scheduled to hold in Lokoja, Kogi State.

He also assured Governor Okpebholo of the group’s support for his administration and pledged to mobilise support for his re-election in 2028.

Receiving the delegation, Governor Okpebholo described President Tinubu’s policies and economic reforms as transformative, urging Nigerians to support his administration for another term in office.

The governor attributed ongoing infrastructural development in Edo State to the support and financial resources made available to states by the Federal Government.

He noted that increased revenue allocation to state governments had improved their capacity to meet salary obligations and execute development projects.
According to him, the reforms have also strengthened the revenue base of the country, creating opportunities for governments at all levels to deliver on their responsibilities.

Governor Okpebholo expressed confidence in President Tinubu’s leadership, declaring that there was no vacancy in Aso Rock ahead of the 2027 general election.

He maintained that the ongoing reforms would yield further results, expressing optimism about the country’s development prospects under the current administration.
