APM, PDP in Synchrony for Makinde’s Victory to Reset Nigeria

APM, PDP in Synchrony for Makinde’s Victory to Reset Nigeria

The Allied People’s Movement (APM) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) are working in synchrony to ensure that the party’s presidential candidate, Governor Seyi Makinde emerge victorious at the forthcoming 2027 presidential election.

Mr. Felix Hassan Hyat, former Minister of Aviation and Director-General (DG) of the APM National Campaign Council (NCC), disclosed this during a meeting at Enugu on Wednesday with candidates vying for various positions in the five South-Eastern states.

The DG said that APM is graciously using PDP structures across the country to actualise Makinde’s presidential ambition.

He said his duty as DG of the APM Campaign Council is to canvass votes from patriotic Nigerians for Makinde’s victory to salvage Nigeria from poverty, hunger and insecurity.

“The meeting is for us to to have heart-to-heart discussions on how to approach the forthcoming general elections for victory, across all elective positions.

“We are glad meeting the 190 South-East candidates for the 2027 election, but one unfortunate thing is that party agents have always been the people who make us fail elections at the polling units.

“As stakeholders, we must change the tide, protect all our votes and make sure our votes count.

“We have to work hard to get the votes, and after that, we have to protect our votes. Let us watch out and make sure that we get Nigeria out of the mess it is presently in,” he said.

Hyat asserted that the All Progressives Congress (APC)’s borrowing culture and mentality has not only brought the country to its knees but has also made it a corrupt nation and the centre of poverty.

In his remarks, APM presidential candidate, Engr. Seyi Makinde, disclosed that the party would on November 4 unveil its manifesto for Nigerians to see the blueprint designed to deliver the country from total collapse.

Makinde said the meeting with the party’s 190 candidates in the five Eastern states was to hear their challenges and map out how to win elections at all levels across the country in the 2027 general elections.

“We are here to interact with you, our candidates across the five states in the East, and I am sure after this meeting we shall be on the same page to face the general election with the seriousness it deserves,” he said.

Also speaking, the APM National Chairman, Alhaji Yusuf Mamman, said the party and its presidential candidate, Seyi Makinde, are being loved by patriotic citizens who are rooting for their victory to reset Nigeria.

Mamman, however, thanked the party chairmen in the five states for their commitment to keeping the party running successfully in the South-East.

Earlier, the Abia State governorship candidate, Dr. Ikechukwu Charles, said the people of the South-East were ready to join APM in its struggle to save Nigeria from total collapse.

Charles assured: “That is why we like the party’s slogan – ‘Nigeria first’ ‘Reset Nigeria.’ We are ready to come out en masse to vote and equally stand firm to defend our votes at the polling units.”
