By joshua KOGI PDP CHAIRMAN, HON. GAMBO ATTENDS 3-DAY FIDAU PRAYER OF LATE MOZUM WARD CHAIRMAN, PRAISES HIS CONSISTENCY AND LOYALTY
The Kogi State Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Hon. Mohammed Sanni Gambo today attended the three-day fidau prayer of the late Mozum Ward Chairman, Alhaji Adama Ibrahim, in Mozum, Bassa Local Government Area.
Hon. Gambo who led a delegation of the State Working Committee, SWC, and party stakeholders to the prayer, described the late grassroots leader as a model of party consistency and uncommon loyalty.
The fidau prayer, led by Islamic clerics, was held in honour of the late Ward Chairman who passed on earlier this week, and attracted family members, PDP executives from Bassa LGA, Mozum Ward, traditional rulers and well-wishers who gathered to pray for the repose of his soul.
Speaking at the prayer, the State Chairman said the PDP has lost a dependable pillar at the grassroots.
According to Hon. Gambo, the late Alhaji Adama Ibrahim was a dedicated and meritorious servant of the party who served with uncommon loyalty in every capacity he found himself. 3c05
He described him as a great ally and one of his last men standing, a very rare and dependable supporter of the PDP in Bassa Local Government and Kogi State at large, who also served diligently as former Protocol to a former Council Chairman where he distinguished himself with humility and commitment. 3c05
“His consistency was not in doubt. In good times and difficult times for our party, Alhaji Adama remained firm. He never wavered. He was loyal to the party till his last breath. That is the definition of a true party man,” Hon. Gambo said.
Other dignitaries and party leaders who spoke at the fidau also eulogized the late Chairman for his peaceful disposition, mobilization capacity and dedication to the growth of PDP in Mozum and Bassa LGA, noting that his vacuum would be difficult to fill.
They prayed Almighty Allah to forgive his shortcomings, grant him Aljannatul Firdaus and give his family and the PDP family the fortitude to bear the loss.
The family of the deceased thanked the State Chairman and the party leadership for standing with them in their moment of grief.
Late Alhaji Adama Ibrahim will be remembered as a humble, loyal and committed grassroots organizer whose death is a huge loss to the PDP family in Bassa and Kogi State.
