REJOINDER: TSG IS NOT AN ANTI-APC PLATFORM, BUT A GRASSROOTS MOBILISER FOR TINUBU AND ALL APC CANDIDATES, FROM TOP TO BOTTOM!

By Hon. Musa Bakare

The attention of stakeholders and members of the Tinubu Support Group (TSG 2.0), Kogi State Chapter, has been drawn to the allegations circulating in political circles, particularly across Kogi West Senatorial District, suggesting that the TSG platform is being used to advance clandestine political interests against the All Progressives Congress (APC) in favour of opposition candidates ahead of the 2027 general elections.

We unequivocally reject these insinuations as unfortunate, misleading, and damaging to the integrity and mission of our organisation.

For the avoidance of doubt, the Tinubu Support Group is a National grassroots mobilisation outfit established to mobilise support for the r
electoral fortune of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2027 and to secure victory for all APC candidates at every level of the electoral contest, from the presidency to the National Assembly, state constituencies and local government structures.

TSG is not a platform for anti-party activities, covert political manoeuvres, or the sponsorship of opposition candidates. It is a mobilisation vehicle for consolidating the Renewed Hope political project and strengthening the electoral fortunes of the APC across Kogi State and Nigeria.

It is therefore disturbing that allegations are being circulated suggesting that a group established to advance President Tinubu’s political fortunes is secretly working to undermine the very party and candidates whose success remains its primary objective.

Let it be stated categorically: TSG’s mission is not Tinubu alone while abandoning other APC candidates. Our mission is Tinubu and all APC candidates, from top to bottom!

Any suggestion that the group is secretly mobilising for any candidate of any political party in Kogi State is a serious allegation that must not be treated as established fact without credible, verifiable evidence.

Political organisations must be careful not to confuse speculation, personal disagreements, factional suspicions or unverified reports with proven acts of anti-party conduct. Allegations of this magnitude should be substantiated through facts and addressed through the appropriate party channels rather than amplified in ways capable of creating unnecessary mistrust within the APC family.

Our objective is to expand the party’s grassroots reach, deepen political participation, strengthen communication with the electorate and mobilise support for President Tinubu and the APC ticket across Kogi State.

The legacy of the late Prince Abubakar Audu and the contributions of Rt. Hon. James Abiodun Faleke to the APC political movement deserve fair and responsible discussion. Such legacies should not be used as instruments for deepening suspicion or creating avoidable divisions among party members.

At this critical juncture, the APC needs sincere reconciliation, unity of purpose and disciplined mobilisation. Those who genuinely desire victory for President Tinubu and the party must avoid actions and rhetoric that could weaken the collective effort.

The 2027 elections require more than slogans, accusations and political brinkmanship. They demand effective grassroots engagement, credible communication, strategic coordination and the ability to persuade voters through sustained political participation.

That is the responsibility TSG exists to fulfil.

We call on our members, supporters and political stakeholders across Kogi State, particularly in Kogi West, to disregard unsubstantiated insinuations portraying TSG as an instrument for advancing opposition interests. Our commitment is to the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the electoral success of all APC candidates.

We equally appeal to the APC leadership, party faithful and all support groups to prioritise dialogue over suspicion, evidence over rumour, and unity over division.

The road to victory must be built on unity, strategic mobilisation and unwavering commitment to the party. We remain focused on that assignment.

Let us win with Tinubu. Let us win with the APC. Let us win together.

Musa Asiru Bakare, member TSG, writes from Lokoja, Kogi State
