BACKGROUND: AREWA GIDA-GIDA 4 ODODO/TINUBU 2027
1. Parent Organization
The foundation of this political movement is the *Alliance Farmers Cooperative Society*, a duly registered cooperative body with Registration No. KGS/7582 registered on 15th September, 2020.
The Cooperative Society boasts a strong grassroots membership base of *over 5,000 registered members spread across the 21 Local Government Areas of Kogi State*. Initially established to promote agricultural development, economic empowerment, and welfare of farmers, the platform has evolved into a formidable socio-political mobilization structure with deep penetration at the ward and polling unit levels.
2. Political Evolution
Leveraging its extensive grassroots network and organizational capacity, the Alliance Farmers Cooperative Society gave birth to a political support group known as Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu 2023 (ABAT 2023).
ABAT 2023 played an active role in the mobilization, sensitization, and campaign activities that contributed to the successful emergence of His Excellency, President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, in the 2023 general elections.
3. Metamorphosis to AREWA GIDA-GIDA 4 Ododo/Tinubu 2027
Following the successful victory of the President and in demonstration of continued loyalty to the progressive agenda, the ABAT 2023 structure has been restructured, rebranded, and renamed as AREWA GIDA-GIDA 4 Ododo/Tinubu 2027.
This new formation is strategically positioned as a unified support and mobilization platform for the consolidation and continuity of progressive governance, with the dual mandate of ensuring:
– The successful re-election of His Excellency, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, the Executive Governor of Kogi State.
– The successful re-election of His Excellency, President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, come 2027.
4. Objective
AREWA GIDA-GIDA 4 Ododo/Tinubu 2027 is established for the purpose of grassroots mobilization, political sensitization, voter education, and the actualization of total electoral victory for the Ododo/Tinubu joint ticket in the 2027 general elections.
