PAAU SENATE APPROVES SECOND SEMESTER 2025/2026 RESULTS, GRADUATES 44 FIRST-CLASS, WITHDRAWS 56 STUDENTS, EXPELS 1

The Senate of Prince Abubakar Audu University (PAAU), Anyigba, has approved the graduation of 44 students with First-Class Honours as part of the results of the 2025/2026 academic session. The Senate also approved the withdrawal of 56 students for poor academic performance, failure to register for two consecutive semesters and academic deficiencies, while one student was expelled for gross examination misconduct.
The decisions were taken at the 168th Regular Meeting of the Senate, held on Wednesday, 30th September 2026, following the consideration and approval of the 2025/2026 second-semester examination results across faculties and departments of the University.
The 44 students who graduated with First-Class Honours are:

In a related development, the Senate considered the report of the Examination Misconduct Committee on the case of gross examination misconduct involving Mr. JUDE OJOAJOGWU ITODO, Matriculation No. 26PL1068, of the Department of Plant Sciences and Biotechnology.
Following thorough consideration of the findings and recommendations of the committee, Senate approved his expulsion from the University.
The Vice-Chancellor and Chairman of Senate, Prof. Salisu Ogbo Usman, commended the members of the Results Verification Committee and the Examination Misconduct Committee for their diligence, objectivity and commitment to upholding the University’s academic standards.
Prof. Usman particularly congratulated the fortu four (44) First-Class graduands for their hard work, discipline, dedication and outstanding academic performance, describing their achievement as inspirational and a demonstration of what can be attained through sustained commitment to learning and excellence.
He urged the First-Class graduands to remain worthy ambassadors of the University and to carry forward the values of hard work, integrity and excellence that earned them the distinction. He also encouraged other students to draw inspiration from their achievement and recognise that academic excellence is attainable through focus, discipline and consistent effort.
The Vice-Chancellor reiterated the determination of Senate and the University Management to sustain academic excellence, discipline and quality assurance, stressing that while the University would continue to provide a conducive environment for teaching, learning and research, students must demonstrate commitment to their studies and comply with the University’s extant academic regulations.
He congratulated all students who performed well in the newly approved results and urged continuing students to remain focused, take full advantage of the University’s enabling academic environment and strive for excellence in both character and learning.
Meanwhile, the withdrawn and expelled students have been directed to surrender all University property in their possession, including identity cards and other official items, to the Security Unit before exiting the University.
