The Special Adviser on South-South Mobilization to the Governor of Kogi State, Hon. Abu Micheal, has declared that Nigeria and Kogi State will fare better and achieve greater prosperity if President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo are given a second term mandate in 2027.
Hon. Micheal made the declaration on Saturday while addressing enthusiastic members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ward A, Lokoja, at a strategic mobilization meeting held at the Army Barracks Polling Units.
The Governor’s aide, who was on a familiarization and mobilization tour of polling units in the Ward, said the second term agenda for both President Tinubu and Governor Ododo is not just about politics, but about continuity, stability and consolidation of visible progress.
According to him, President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda is already laying a solid foundation for economic recovery, national security and infrastructural renewal, while Governor Ododo’s administration has demonstrated uncommon commitment to inclusive governance, workers’ welfare, security of lives and property, and human capital development.
“What we are seeing in Kogi State today is a government that listens and delivers. Governor Ododo has shown that he is a leader for all – Ebira, Igala, Okun and non-indigenes alike, including our South-South brothers and sisters who have been given a sense of belonging through appointments and empowerment,” Hon. Micheal stated.
“If President Tinubu and Governor Ododo get a second term, Kogi will be more united, more secure and more prosperous, and Nigeria will be on a faster path to sustainable development,” he added.
He urged party members in Army Barracks Polling Units, Ward A to remain steadfast, united and committed to the ideals of the APC, stressing that early mobilization at the polling unit level remains the key to landslide victory in 2027.
In her remarks, the convener of the meeting and Ward Special Assistant on Grassroots Mobilization (South-South), Hon. Joseph Bosede Adeleye, said the gathering was deliberately designed as a springboard to galvanize grassroots support for the APC ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Hon. Ayodele, one of the appointees from the South-South extraction, described the present administration of Governor Ododo as a gender-sensitive government that has placed unprecedented emphasis on women and children.
She noted that Governor Ododo’s empowerment programs, investment in education, healthcare and his humane approach to governance have endeared him to women across Kogi State.
“Another term in office will enable His Excellency to consolidate on the solid foundation he is laying. This platform I have inaugurated today will be sustained till after the general elections and beyond, for the reelection of Governor Ododo. It is my modest way of appreciating him for the recognition and for finding me worthy of appointment,” she said.
She assured the Special Adviser of the total and unalloyed support of women from polling units in and around the Army Barracks for the second term bid of Governor Ododo and for President Tinubu.
Highlights of the visit was the presentation of NG-CARES program approval letters to some beneficiaries in Ward A Barracks Polling Units as encouragement by the Special Adviser, as well as the distribution of food condiments and other palliatives to women of the polling units in the Army Barracks area as provided by the Ward Special Assistant.
The beneficiaries, who were full of excitement, thanked Governor Ododo for his people-oriented interventions and prayed for the success of his administration.
The meeting, which was attended by Ward A APC leaders, women leaders, youth leaders and polling unit canvassers, ended with a renewed pledge to work for the victory of the APC from the polling units to the national level.
