I Hon Austine Alaba Medaiyedu, the Senior Special Assistant to the Executive Governor of Kogi State on Grassroot Sensitization wishes to extend my deepest and most sincere appreciation to the large crowd that attended the 8-Day Fidau (Islamic funeral prayers) for the late Executive Governor of Kogi State, His Excellency, Alhaji Ibrahim IDRIS, CON (BABA KOGI)
The 8-Day Fidau prayers, which took place today at the 500 Unit Housing Estate Mosque, along Ganaja Road, Lokoja Kogi brought together dignitaries, associates, and citizens from all walks of life to offer prayers for the repose of the soul of my departed leader and great mentor.
I want to sincerely and profoundly express my gratitude for the overwhelming outpouring of love, solidarity, and support displayed by the good people of the State since the transition of the late Governor.
I am deeply comforted by the immense love shown to the family during this incredibly difficult period.
The glowing tributes and the turnout for the Fidau prayers are a testament to the impactful life our late patriarch lived.
I pray that Almighty Allah rewards everyone abundantly for standing by the family
During the prayers the chief Imam of the Mosque, Mallam Mohammed Jibrin described the late Governor as a visionary leader whose legacy of development, peace, and dedication to the service of Kogi State will never be forgotten.
He urged citizens to sustain the late leader’s vision by fostering unity and progress across the state.
Mallam Mohammed Jibrin who led the special prayers, petitioned Almighty Allah (SWT) to grant the late Governor Al-Jannah Firdaus (the highest paradise) and to give the family and the state the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
May the soul of our beloved Governor rest in perfect peace. Amin.
