Members of the joint Forum of Ex-Political Office Holders in the Local Government Councils in Kogi state has expressed deep sadness over the passing of former Kogi State Governor, Alh Ibrahim Idris.
The Forum which membership consists of the two sets of Local Government Council members that served under the administration of Alh Ibrahim Idris between 2003 and 2011, in a statement issued in Lokoja on Monday 21st September 2026 described the passing of Alh Ibrahim Idris as shocking and a great loss to the Idris family, the people of Kogi State, and the multitude of people he served as benefactor in Kogi state and Nigeria at large, including members of the Joint Forum.
The Forum expressed their heartfelt condolences to the immediate family, friends, associates, and Kogi state who is in deep shock and painful mourning mood.
The Forum prays that Almighty God forgive his shortcomings, accept his good deeds, and grant him eternal rest in the bossom of the lord.
The statement prayed that God almighty in his infinite mercy grant the family the strength and fortitude to bear this great loss.
May the great soul of ALH IBRAHIM IDRIS REST IN VERY PERFECT PEACE.
