The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Kogi State Chapter, is set to honour the Special Adviser to the Kogi State Governor on Energy Matters, Hon. Omoluabi Bode Adeyemi, with a prestigious Humanitarian Service Award as part of activities commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Christian Association of Nigeria.
The award presentation is scheduled to take place on Saturday, October 10, 2026, at 10:00 a.m., at the Kay Galaxy Event Centre, Lokoja, Kogi State.
The recognition, according to the organisers, is in honour of Omoluabi Bode Adeyemi outstanding contributions, unwavering commitment, consistent support and sacrifices towards the growth of the Church and the development of Kogi State.
He is also being recognised for his continued efforts in the propagation of the Christian faith, promotion of peace and unity, as well as his support for initiatives and activities aimed at strengthening the Church and contributing to the development of communities across the state.
The Humanitarian Service Award is expected to highlight the importance of individuals who have consistently supported humanitarian causes, encouraged peaceful coexistence and contributed to the development of religious and community institutions.
For Omoluabi Bode Adeyemi, the recognition comes as an acknowledgement of his reported commitment to supporting the Church and promoting values of peace, unity, service and community development.
His activities and engagements have also placed him among government officials and stakeholders who participate in initiatives connected to the social and developmental advancement of Kogi State.
As Special Adviser to the Governor on Energy Matters, Adeyemi has been involved in government and stakeholder engagements surrounding development issues in the state, while his position as Chairman of the Forum of Special Advisers to the Kogi State Governor has further placed him in a coordinating role among special advisers within the administration.
