2027: Ankpa Federal Constituency Drums Support For Tinubu’s Re-election

The people of Ankpa Federal Constituency in Kogi State have pledged their unalloyed support for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 general elections.

The declaration was made on Thursday at a massive town hall meeting held at the Atiele Oma Idoko Hall, Ankpa, convened by the Win With Tinubu (WWT) Project.
The constituency, comprising Ankpa, Omala and Olamaboro Local Government Areas, converged in their hundreds under the theme: Unity for Sustainable Development in Kogi East Senatorial District.
The town hall is part of a statewide tour by the WWT Project, a political platform initiated by Senator Sunday Karimi, representing Kogi West, who serves as Chairman, and Senator Jibrin Isah Echocho, representing Kogi East, who serves as Co-Chairman, aimed at galvanizing grassroots support for President Tinubu’s second term.
In his address, the State Programme Coordinator of the Win With Tinubu Project, Hon. Sanni Philips, described Ankpa Federal Constituency as a progressive constituency and said Kogi East, particularly Ankpa Federal Constituency, remains vital to APC’s victory in the state, which is why the town hall offers an opportunity to strategize.
He said the mammoth crowd at the town hall is a clear indication of the readiness of the people of Ankpa Federal Constituency to deliver President Tinubu overwhelmingly in 2027.
Hon. Philips lauded Senator Karimi for his interventions in providing palliatives, educational support and scholarships in line with President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, noting them as some of the interventions the WWT Project has made in the Federal Constituency, and urged the people to reciprocate the gesture.
“The essence of this town hall is to ensure President Tinubu wins and wins very well. The President has done well. We must return to the grassroots and mobilize,” he said, adding that the administration’s strategic policies have significantly degraded insecurity across the country.
The Coordinator of the WWT Project in Ankpa Federal Constituency, Comrade Sylvester Achoba, reeled out some of the achievements of the Tinubu administration since assumption of office in 2023, including economic reforms that have shored up foreign reserves, attracted foreign investments, unified the exchange rate, introduced the Student Loan Scheme (NELFUND), a new national minimum wage, an expanded consumer credit scheme, youth empowerment programmes and massive investments in agriculture with the creation of the Ministry of Livestock Development.
In his goodwill message, former member of the House of Representatives for Ankpa Federal Constituency, Hon. Hassan Omale, said the people of the constituency have every reason to re-elect President Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima, citing the President’s bold economic decisions, infrastructural renewal and social interventions that have stabilized the economy and restored investor confidence.
Also speaking, former Director-General of the National Productivity Centre, Dr. Kashim Akor, called for sustained support to enable President Tinubu to do more for Ankpa Federal Constituency.
Retired Assistant Inspector-General of Police, AIG Yaro Abutu, said a second term will consolidate and expand the gains already recorded and improve all aspects of Nigerians’ lives. He described the WWT grassroots engagement model as first of its kind and assured that Ankpa Federal Constituency will reciprocate with massive votes at the polls.
Hon. Hassan Ibrahim, in his remarks, commended President Tinubu for appointing a Chief of Army Staff from Kogi State, the ongoing construction of a military barracks in the state and other security expansions, and urged the constituency to come out en-masse to vote for Tinubu in 2027.
In a detailed presentation, Onalo Atokolo highlighted President Tinubu’s sweeping reforms in transportation and road infrastructure, electricity sector reforms, deregulation of the petroleum sector, increase in gross external reserves, single window for forex, NELFUND, youth empowerment, new minimum wage, consumer credit, agricultural revolution and landmark expansion in security architecture, including barracks expansion and the establishment of a Naval Base in Abocho, Dekina LGA.
Atokolo noted the appointment of prominent sons of Ankpa Federal Constituency into key positions, stressing that “you don’t change a winning team,” adding that “a new Nigeria is rising” under Tinubu.
Representatives of the WWT Chairmen, Pastor Kingsley Ajileye who represented Senator Jibrin Isah, and Hon. Musa Bakare who represented Senator Sunday Karimi, said Kogi State has never had it so good under the current administration and described the state as dear to President Tinubu’s heart, urging the people to support him to do more.
Earlier, the WWT team paid courtesy visits to the Onu of Ankpa, His Royal Highness, Alhaji Abdulmalik Umar and the Ejeh of Ankpa, HRH Alhaji Ahmed Abubakar Yakubu II, where they solicited royal blessings and prayers for the President and for a peaceful and successful conduct of the 2027 general elections.
