The Honourable Commissioner for Finance, Budget and Economic Planning, Kogi State, Mukadam Asiwaju Asiru Idris, FCA, has felicitated the former Deputy Governor of Kogi State, Arc. Yomi Awoniyi, on the occasion of his 66th birthday.
In a congratulatory message, the Commissioner described Arc. Awoniyi as an accomplished public servant, respected elder and distinguished Kogite whose contributions to the development and political growth of the State remain worthy of recognition.
Mukadam Asiru Idris commended the former Deputy Governor for his wealth of experience, wisdom and enduring commitment to the progress and unity of Kogi State, noting that his counsel and perspectives continue to be valuable, particularly in the collective effort to build a more prosperous and peaceful State.
He also acknowledged Arc. Awoniyi’s commitment to the All Progressives Congress (APC) and his support for the administration of His Excellency, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, as well as the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR.
According to him, Arc. Awoniyi represents a generation of leaders whose experience, dignity and understanding of public service continue to provide guidance and inspiration to younger leaders.

He wished the former Deputy Governor a memorable birthday celebration and many more years of impactful service to humanity and the development of Kogi State.
