KOGI SIGNAGE AGENCY TO HOLD STAKEHOLDER ENGAGEMENT AS IT PARTNERS NIPR

General Manager, Kogi State Signage and Advertisement Agency (KOSSAA), Richard Osaseyi says the agency is finalizing arrangements to host a comprehensive meeting with firms, MDAs, political parties, and other relevant stakeholders in the signage industry so as to standardize signage process and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
The General Manager stated this when he received Executives and members of the Kogi State Chapter of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) in his office in Lokoja.
Osaseyi noted that the stakeholder engagement would help expose key players in the industry to relevant laws concerning signage and advertising in Kogi state while intimating them on the measures already taken by the agency to meet common grounds while sticking to best practices.
While explaining that the agency is understudying some other progressive states on the signage policy, Osaseyi gave assurance that KOSSAA will work with the NIPR to sensitize the citizens and residents on the state signage law particularly as electioneering begins.
The GM however highlighted some challenges facing the agency to include adequate office accommodation for staff, vehicles for monitoring, as well as poor exposure to signage laws as he praised Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for his support to the agency in carrying out its activities.
Earlier in his remark, Chairman, Kogi state chapter of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations, Ismaila Isah pledged NIPR’s collaboration to support KOSSAA to effectively sanitize the signage and advertising space in Kogi.
He reiterated that the NIPR is open to consultation and deployment of members to achieve the GM’s vision for KOSSAA.
Isah used the occasion to call on Information officers, Public Relations Officers and other practitioners in the state register with the NIPR to remain compliant in the profession and enjoy numerous benefits offered by the institute.
