KOGI LG SERVICE COMMISSION CHAIRMAN, HON. ADABENEGE ADAMS, CONGRATULATES AGL YAKUBU ADABENEGE ON EMERGENCE AS NATIONAL CHAIRMAN OF AUDITORS-GENERAL FORUM

The Chairman of the Kogi State Local Government Service Commission, Hon. Adabenege Adams, has congratulated the Kogi State Auditor-General for Local Government, Hon. Yakubu Siyaka Adabenege, on his emergence as the Chairman of the Forum of Auditors-General for Local Government Councils in Nigeria.
The announcement was made at the 30th Conference of Auditors-General for Local Government Area Councils held in Lokoja, Kogi State.
In a congratulatory message issued on Friday, Hon. Adamsi described the emergence of the Kogi AGL as a proud moment for the state and a recognition of excellence, diligence and professionalism in public service.
“On behalf of the Kogi State Local Government Service Commission, I heartily congratulate my brother and colleague, Hon. Yakubu Siyaka Adabenege, on this well-deserved elevation to lead your colleagues nationwide,” Hon. Adams stated.
“This achievement is a testament to your unwavering commitment to accountability, transparency and sound financial management at the local government level. You have consistently set the standard, and Kogi is proud to lead by example.”
The Commission Chairman noted that Hon. Adabenege’s track record in strengthening audit processes and promoting fiscal discipline in Kogi’s 21 LGAs earned him the trust of his peers across the country.
“I have no doubt that under your leadership, the Forum will provide stronger guidance, drive reforms, and ensure that public funds at the grassroots are managed with the highest level of integrity,” he added.
“As an institution, the Service Commission will continue to collaborate with you and the Forum to build the capacity of personnel and deepen good governance at the third tier of government.”
Hon. Adams prayed for God’s wisdom, strength and guidance for the new Chairman as he pilots the affairs of the Forum, and urged him to use the platform to advocate for autonomy and improved welfare for audit departments nationwide.
Hon. Yakubu Siyaka Adabenege currently serves as the Auditor-General for Local Government in Kogi State. His emergence as National Chairman was unanimous and was widely applauded by delegates at the conference.
