By joshua Wemi Jones Inspects Apaa Agbede Water Project, Urges Community to Take Ownership
The Kogi State Commissioner for Education, Hon. Wemi Jones, FCIB, has inspected the ongoing water project in Apaa Agbede, Bunu District, ahead of its official commissioning, expressing satisfaction with the quality and progress of work at the site.
The project, which is currently at about 95 per cent completion, received commendation from the Commissioner, who praised the engineering team of Aqua Terra Global Resources Nigeria Limited for its commitment and professionalism in delivering the project.
Hon. Jones assured the people of Apaa Agbede of more dividends of democracy, stressing that the administration of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo remains committed to promoting good governance and ensuring that communities across the state benefit from meaningful development projects.
The Commissioner, who emphasised the importance of community participation in sustaining government interventions, urged residents to take ownership of the water project and other government projects in their community by protecting and maintaining them for the benefit of present and future generations.
He noted that the sustainability of government projects requires collective responsibility, adding that communities must see such interventions as their own and work together to safeguard them.
The community expressed appreciation for the Commissioner’s passion for grassroots and community development, describing his commitment as a reflection of responsive leadership focused on improving the welfare of the people.
